Hi, I'm Andee and here comes the generic personal biography... please feel free to read on if you have an interest in me and my art.

I was born in 1980 in Blackpool, England and am of Polish heritage. I have spent much of my life in Perth, Western Australia and have spent much of the recent years in the Republic of Korea. These days I split my time between Gangwon-do, South Korea and Perth, where I live with my partner and young family.

As you are no doubt aware, I am a visual artist, although I am also a linguist and language teacher. I have a deep interest in languages and several of my linguistic interests make appearances in my work in the form of written word or general concept.

Artistically-speaking, I studied at the School of Visual Arts (SOVA), which is a subsidiary of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) ...And I have been sculpting and painting seriously since 1998 and 1999 respectively.

This section of the website is dedicated to my paintings, although there another section dedicated to my photography work. In the beginning my work was greatly influenced by the surrealist movement - Miro and Picasso most of all. Although, there was also a hint of pop art, expressionism and abstraction thrown in for good measure. These days I have taken much inspiration from artists such as Basquiat and de Kooning, and am leaning toward abstract expressionism because of its raw and emotive state. This translates over into my working method that relies heavily on layering and texture to create a depth and flavour that focuses on drawing an emotional response from the viewer.

My works are for sale and commissions can be undertaken if you so desire.

If you would like any further information about my work and the services that I offer, then please contact me.
